I think it’s fair to say James Desborough is one of the most controversial and outspoken writers out there. His views on theism, sexism and politics have gained him a fair number of detractors who are just as outspoken as he is. Sometimes more.

Yes friends, three years ago G*M*S Magazine started as a means to write my own reviews and stir up some interest in games, as well as get new games to write the reviews of.
As it turned out, I didn’t get anywhere as many games as I thought I would, I got more reviews than I thought I could and the website became bigger than I ever thought possible.
We are back with another interview full of goodness and gaming stuff you might not know about!

This episode brings two reviews. One about a game I have been looking forward for a long, long time, and another about a book I wasn’t expecting to enjoy!
And also some announcement about our 3rd anniversary. On the 21st of July G*M*S Magazine will turn 3 years old. It’s been a long time now and the site has now more than 1500 news, reviews and articles and things keep coming and changing. And some changes to come. But first a pretty huge giveaway with quite a few role playing games and boardgames.

It is no secret that I like zombies. If they were real, I’d pet them. However, even I must admit that in the last few years they’ve been done to death and even the latest TV series based on successful comic books use them as a means to study human relationships and introspection, not as a credible enemy unless they’re for opportunistic plot advancement.

Gaming can manifest in many ways and it can make us do some very strange things, like web series.
We have had other web series in the past when we had Joanna Gaskell for an interview about her web series, and now we have another producer with a very different offering.

I had the pleasure of taking to Joanna Gaskell, the producer, writer, actress and overall brains and passion behind Standard Action, one of the bet produced and funniest fantasy web series out there.
The series has gone through one full season and season two episodes are being screened now, with still some episodes to come. Season three is currently being funded in Kickstarter and has already got enough money to produce the third season, though there are some really cool stretch goals to come.
