In Inquisitio, the players are people accused of witchcraft and being tortured by the Spanish Inquisition (I know “No one expects the Spanish Inquisition”. Let’s get that joke out of the way… yawn!) to extract confessions. And it is rather brutal, as brutal as the methods the Inquisition used in the name of God.

Nexus Ops first play review

This game is about imperialistic interplanetary conquering, invasion and resources exploitation. This game is not about going to a planet and invading it. This game is about going to a planet with your clones (why use unique humans!) and using the existing residents and creatures to fight against each other in order to get you Rubium and victory points to win the game.

Omertà

This game allows you to play as a criminal, not crime-fighter. I will admit that it didn’t fill me with enthusiasm when I first heard of it, but I was very, very intrigued. And is a game that comes from Spain, so that intrigued me even more. Not because it is rare to see a game being produced in Spain, quite the opposite, but because I have only got my hands on two professionally produced games from Spain in the last few years and this is the only one that’s not a fantasy setting. And the icing on the cake for me is that Holocubierta is a young and very promising company that seems to be getting things very right all the time!
