Divulging Strategy

When I originally rediscovered the hobby, one of the things that I was most interested in when scouring the web, was finding strategy discussions. I wanted to learn how to improve my play, plus simply reading posts on strategies and tactics for games was entertaining. Now, years later, my opinion has changed.

I like the concept of achievement feats as a kind of reward for PCs that is not another magic item and, while I’d never give my players this book (to prevent meta-gaming) I welcome the idea. This pdf is 12 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 2 pages ads and 1 page SRD, leaving 7 pages of content. The first page lists the rings in a huge table, complete with old-school 1d%-rolls and prices – a nice nod for grognards. The rings range from 400GP to 120.000 GP.

Immersion in Games

Games, for the most part, have a theme. Many games are designed entirely around involving players in their theme. RPGs form the lion’s share of these, and the remainder form a category that is commonly referred to as Ameritrash (this isn’t a derogatory term in most circles, despite the sound of it).
