chronicle-cityWe come to episode 42 and we’re hoping this is the last episode with just Dale and myself.

I am very pleased to say we are going to have more co-hosts in future episodes and they’re going to make the podcast really great! You’ll find out who in this episode of the show.

In this show Dale talks about his experience playing Mutants and Masterminds with children, and his first impressions on the Marvel RPG. It would appear that ICONS, with its simple mechanics and cartoon style layout was a hit!

This is a very special episode. It is special because I am joined by Vickey Beaver to co-host this episode. Vickey has a TON of experience in games and it was an absolute blast to get to talk with her. We talk miniatures in Role Playing Games and whether they are necessary or not.

www.mongoosepublishingAnd is also special because we don’t have one interview. We have two!

The first interview is with Sandrine Thirache, the lead 3d modeller for Mongoose Publishing. Since miniature making is something I know very little about it, I thought it’d be interesting to have an expert around and she didn’t disappoint. At all! Her insight in how Mongoose’s workflow and practises was really tremendous and the interview very informative.

doctor-who-nuclear-time-smallIt’s that time of the week where we can sit back and enjoy the hard work that goes into creating a quality podcast. Of you can listen to ours instead!

This is a special episode for various reasons. First of all because me and Dale are joined by the gorgeous Jenn from the Jennisodes to co-host our show. Apart from having a wealth of knowledge and the charm to go with it, Jenn just happens to be absolutely lovely and we had an absolutely great time.

And a few days later than I was anticipating, the episode 38 of our podcast is out.

There is no doubt that 2012 is going to be an amazing years for super heroes. And it’ll be an amazing year for fans of super heroes because there are plenty of mega-cool stuff happening in any super heroic front you can think of.

The Avengers movie is going to take the cinemas by storm, the Batman movie will probably do the same, and our beloved Role Playing Games are not exception.

Prince_of_WolvesI know I keep saying this, but it is true, I am a lucky man interviewing tons of really cool and nice people. Few times this is truer than with Dave Gross.

PZO8505_500Editor of Dungeon Magazine for a long time, writer of tales and novels, editor or many a book and all round good guy, he talks about his latest novel and the characters he created. We talk about the behind the scenes of writing and how it is important to find the voice of the characters you’re writing about. And many more things.

rogueWelcome back to the G*M*S Magazine Podcast, the RPG Edition.

Ever wondered what moves a villain? What makes a necromancer want to turn anyone and everyone into undead? Why the lust for power some villains and archvillains seem to have? Well, Thilo poised that question to us and Dale and I have a bit of a chat about that.

stacks_image_204Exceptionally enough, we also talk videogames and, specifically, we talk about Mass Effect 3, the last and latest in the trilogy that is really defining the way videogames should tell stories.
