Unboxing: Snowdonia

If you had the privilege of living near Snowdonia, you’d know it is a place that’s beautiful, beguiling, and deeply inspiring. You’d also know it’s a tough environment with mist, cold winters, rain more often than not and its own train line. All the way to the top.

Unboxing Level 99 Games Minigame Library

Level 99 is one of those companies we don’t hear enough about. They consistently produce both boardgames, card games and role playing games with a truly excellent level of quality and originality.

BattleCon is one of the best fighting cards games out there, and Mystic Empyrean is a truly fantastic and gorgeous looking role playing game.

This new selection of games is not just one game, but a collection of mini-games. All easy to play and teach, which sounds very good.

But it’s the money you have to pay worth for what you get? Let’s take a look!

Unboxing Sentinels of the Multiverse 2nd Edition, Rook City and Infernal Relics. And more!

Catching by surprise even the designers and publishers of this game, its success has been pretty amazing and the reception from the fandom pretty unanimous. The only thing everyone complained about in the first edition was the box. Barely big enough to hold the cards and indeed not big enough to hold them if you sleeved them.

After the first edition came Rook City. Better box and better packaging. Then Richard Launius joined the Greater than Games team and helped with Infernal Relics. Things got better and better.

Unboxing: Dominare, from AEG

Another game in the city of Tempest game from Alderac Entertainment Group, Dominare.

Designed by Jim Pinto, Dominare puts the players in the place of conspirators aiming to control the city. Use your agents and expand your influence and control the metropolis that many say is the biggest city in the world.

Now all this sounds very well and proper, but is the game worth the amount of money you have to pay to get your hands on it?

Let’s find out!

Unboxing Courtier

One of the games from AEG based in the city of Tempest, Courtier will have you take the place of an influence broker who’s mission is to manipulate the elite of the city and get them do what you need them to.

Needless to say this is a rather competitive game, and it is for 2 to 4 players to enjoy. Or endure if you’re the loser.

The box looks seriously lovely from the outside, but is the game worth the money you have to pay to get your hands on it?
