Episode 70 has arrived, slowly but surely, just like Christmas approaches. And since that means you’ll want to give your loved ones as much as you can. Obviously your not-so-loved ones won’t get a thing. Mine don’t. So to make your life a lot easier, Jenn, Vickey and myself have put together a list of games we think you should get. Or that someone should get for you.
Thanks to Margaret Weis Productions, we can now enjoy the Marvel RPG. A new game based on the Cortex Plus system that has been designed to bring the comic books to life. Philippe Menard gave us a very good insight about this game in episode 32, but I thought we needed more, so I invited Cam Banks to come to the podcast and answer a few questions about the game. Of course being the inquisitive being I am, I couldn’t stop on the Marvel RPG and asked him about more things. Tons more things!
By the looks of it, it seems that 2012 is going to be the year of the super hero. The Avengers movie has generated as much attention as it could be expected, the new Batman movie is well on its way and RPG land is indeed catching up with everything and everyone. The Marvel Heroic Roleplaying game is the first of this year’s releases, and it came with an incredible amount of success.
Powered by the Cortex system, the game has been designed to be a storytelling experience with plenty of flexibility to fit the Marvel Universe in it and allow both players and GMs to enjoy heroic adventures at any level.
