Episode 70 has arrived, slowly but surely, just like Christmas approaches. And since that means you’ll want to give your loved ones as much as you can. Obviously your not-so-loved ones won’t get a thing. Mine don’t.
So to make your life a lot easier, Jenn, Vickey and myself have put together a list of games we think you should get. Or that someone should get for you.
But before that we talk Kobold Quarterly and the sad news that it’s gone out of print. Needless to say, we all think it’s a terrible loss. Although we all understand the reasons behind the closure, we will miss it immensely.
We also have an interview with the always amazing Daniel Solis. Daniel is a Creative Director at Oklahoma based creative agency Third Degree during the day, and during the rest of the time is a husband and game designer. And he’s a game designer with an incredible talent for ideas development and new ways to approach game design. Happy Birthday Robot, Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple, Utara and many others are an incredible menu of truly excellent material to put his talent beyond any doubt.
When you hear the interview you’ll see why I am so complimentary. It’s because I’m right.
So. The list. These are the games we talk about:
- The One Ring
- Marvel Heroic RPG and Civil War Premium Event book
- Dr Who: Adventures in Time and Space
- Pathfinder Begginer’s box
- Night’s Black Agents
- Warhammer Fantasy RPG
- Fiasco
- Durance
- Mistborn Adventure Game
- Storyforge
- Rippers
- Hellfrost
- T’unseal
- Rise of the Runelords
- Anything GURPS
And, just in case you want to save yourself a few pennies, we have a really cool giveaway. We’re giving away:
- Mindjammer novel signed by the author, Sarah J. Newton
- Amazar RPG
- Three copies of Journeys to the West by Cristina Styles
And the only thing you have to do to enter the competition is to leave some feedback in iTunes. Simple as that.
Look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy the show!
