The G*M*S Magazine Episode 65 – Sarah Newton and Mindjammer Press

Roleplaying and board games reviews, podcasts, videos and interviews

mindjammerYou might remember that a few episodes ago we started a discussion about art and role playing games. At the time, we had some difficulties with audio and Rob couldn’t stay online due to bad internet connection.

This time, Rob is in a much better place and can talk for ages about the subject, so we can hear what he has to say. And some of the things he says are very, very interesting, even if I have to throw a few challenging questions back at him!

Also, as usual, we have an interview, and it is my pleasure to welcome back Sarah Newton, good friend, writer and game designer!

As you might recall, Sarah wrote Mindjammer, a space opera novel placed over 15.000 years in the future in which a very different Earth has now found a way to travel faster than light, and is finding all the colonies that, sometimes thousands of years ago, left the Earth in “slow” spaceships and sometimes were lost or forgotten. The implications of those re-discovered colonies are, let’s say, entertaining.

Now Sarah has established Mindjammer Press, dedicated to all things Mindjammer, including the next edition of the game, which promises to be fantastic.

But, being the busy person she is, Sarah has been up to more… MUCH more. But you’ll have to listen to the interview, and I promise it’ll be worth it.

As always, we’re more than happy to receive your feedback and to do so you can email us on podcast@gmsmagazine.com or leave a voice message by clicking the tab to the side!

Look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy the show!
