This is the as-of-yet longest instalment of the Advanced Feats series from Open Design, containing 19 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial/ToC, 1 page SRD. As all the books of the advanced feats series, this one starts with a discussion/introduction of the class.
I like to be surprised. I like new ideas, new concepts and new things. Unfortunately none of those things come often enough… though sometimes they do, and then it is nice! Awakened is one of those products. It’s not perfect, but it is indeed very, very interesting! Awakened starts with something having happened to the characters, even though they can’t remember what it is. Simply put, they wake up in a motel, away from home and not able to remember anything from the night before. Throughout the adventure, clues and flashbacks are presented to the players so they can start to remember what not just they have recently, but what connects them from their distant past.
From Louis Porter Design, the Two Dozen series bring you a series of maladies, curses, haunts and other nasties to throw at your players. Have fun!
Content, content, content – all I can say is WOW. There is so much information packed into this product I was overwhelmed on my first read.
The plot is fairly straight forward. Aric, a half-elf with a psionic talent that allows him to communicate with metals of all kings, is sent on a mission to the dessert by Nibenay, ruler of the city of the same name.
The pdf portrays one of the major players of the Obsidian Twilight setting, Asi Magnor is a CR 30 mummy-king with a quite complex stat-block befitting of such a big baddy. The entry comes with a short history of the villain as well as some magic items of his regalia.
