Louis Porter Jr. Design has released Monsters of NeoExodus: Annihilation Sphere at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this
The pdf kicks off with an introduction to this pdf version of the great Quid Novi-newsletter (which I’ve been receiving for the better part of a year by now) and then goes on to the gaming material. Each section is prefaced by a cool, aptly-written short IC-text.
Northlands is a sourcebook for the North, to state the obvious, but from the very beginning you’ll realize that it goes above and beyond what you’d expect of e.g. an environment-book like e.g. 3.5’s “Frostburn”, which will serve as my point of reference for this review.
This pdf from Clockwork Gnome Publishing is 22 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page back cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page SRD, leaving 18 pages of content – for the low price a nice deal!
Due to staves containing several spells and these ones also having additional qualities, I’m breaking my usual format for this review and review the staves according to groups they belong to. The staves herein range in price from a modest 2090 Gp to 265000 Gp.
The issue kicks off with a very interesting editorial rant by Ben McFarland on the lack of truly legendary, big and ambitious products with a long gestation period, essentially making a case for grander designs and less fast designing. Interesting points, I think, as the pace of some releases has been neck-breaking. (1 page)
This pdf from Louis Porter Design is 49 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page combat & initiative tracker, 2 pages char-sheet, 2 pages mini-sheets for monsters, 1 page advertisement and 1 page SRD, leaving 41 pages of content for the mythic bane of NeoExodus, so let’s check them out.
This pdf from Louis Porter Design is 24 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 inside of front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page ToC, leaving 20 pages of content. The book kicks off with a two-page spread featuring the full view of the beautiful artwork on the front cover.
Villains II, by Raging Swan Press, is 30 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page blank inside of front cover, 2 pages editorial, 1 page ToC (once again with a nice rhyme – I really like them!), 1 page advice to reading stat-blocks for novice DMs, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement and 1 page back cover, leaving 21 pages of content, so let’s check it out!
