Pathfinder Tales: Winter Witch

I am a very strong believer that supporting a solid RPG setting with a solid novel or short story is always a good idea. Being a big fan of Paizo and Pathfinder, when I saw Winter Witch in the shelf of the bookstore where I was browsing, I instinctively put it in my shopping basket (yes, I have to use a shopping basket when I go to a book store… I’m that sort of guy).

How Do I Describe My Hobby?

It’s a hard thing to describe. Well, it’s hard to describe in such a way that does it justice, that will get across how good it is without actually sitting someone down and letting them play. This may be drastic, and not everyone may agree, but I believe that roleplaying games are one of the best forms of entertainment you could partake in, ever. It’s a bold statement so I will try to back it up.

This full-colour pdf from Open Design is 62 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page (almost) logo-less front cover, 1 page editorial & ToC, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement and 1 page back cover, leaving 54 pages for the drakes. So…what are drakes?

Midgard–Northlands

Northlands is a sourcebook for the North, to state the obvious, but from the very beginning you’ll realize that it goes above and beyond what you’d expect of e.g. an environment-book like e.g. 3.5’s “Frostburn”, which will serve as my point of reference for this review.

Villains II

Villains II, by Raging Swan Press, is 30 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page blank inside of front cover, 2 pages editorial, 1 page ToC (once again with a nice rhyme – I really like them!), 1 page advice to reading stat-blocks for novice DMs, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement and 1 page back cover, leaving 21 pages of content, so let’s check it out!
