Furthermore, if you’re anything like me, you’ll find that trying to improve the lives of others by gently correcting thought-patterns and behaviour is not only rather burdensome, but often goes unappreciated. Some even react negatively to being helped in this way.
Well, he had me at the word “game”. Of course I stayed and tried out Dixit. We had 5 players, and the game can handle up to 12. Five is a good number for a board game, there’s some variety in the players, but not so many that things get confusing.
A lot of people want to either get into more serious boardgames or get someone else into more serious boardgames. More serious being beyond Monopoly, Scrabble, Apples To Apples and similar ‘gateway games’. There are a few games that are always suggested as entry level games into modern boardgames.
