marslandscaperocky-1_signed_forpressLAS VEGAS, NV – August 2, 2013 – The Dragon Kings design team announced today that veteran fantasy artist Thomas Denmark is contributing to the new multi-media fantasy role-playing setting.

“Thomas Denmark’s work caught my eye years ago and I’ve always wanted to work with him,” says lead Dragon Kings creator Timothy Brown. “His compositions are really compelling and draw you into the scene. He brings a great new level of imagination to our world.”

“The art on Dark Sun was a huge influence on my career,” adds Thomas Denmark, “I was excited to hear Timothy Brown was developing Dragon Kings in a similar vein and honored to be included on this project.”

Thomas started his art career working on Star Wars video games for LucasArts. His interest in tabletop games lead to doing freelance art where he established the look and feel of the A Game of Thrones CCG. He also illustrated Magic: the Gathering cards, and many popular role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. He designed and illustrated the popular card games Dungeoneer and recently Murder of Crows. He continues to design and illustrate tabletop games on the side while working as an art director at Kabam, a leading social video games company.

Dragon Kings is a new fantasy game world conceived and presented in fiction, art, and music simultaneously. “We need quite a bit of original art to bring this new world to life,” says Brown. “I’m looking forward to sharing Thomas Denmark’s art with the fans.” Denmark is the latest artist announced on the project, along with Brom and Thomas Baxa.

About Dragon Kings

Dragon Kings is Timothy Brown’s ‘spiritual successor’ to his award-winning Dark Sun role-playing universe, co-designed with author Troy Denning and artist Gerald Brom for the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game. Dragon Kings is a new fantasy game world conceived and presented in fiction, art, and music simultaneously. The project will be crowd sourced and eventually expand beyond role-playing and music into comics, video, and computer games. The product launch envisions a hardbound game book, an art-intensive album-sized world gazetteer and lyrics booklet, and a full-length progressive rock CD.
