Paladins: Damned if you do, damned if you don’t!

I have always liked Paladins. The first ever character I played was a Paladin. The current character I am playing is Paladin. In the nearly 20 years I have been playing Role Playing Games, I have played Paladins, Knights and other moralistic and ethical type of military characters when available and if appropriate.

Heroes of Graxia

In the beginning, there was Dominion. And it was good. Very good. So good, in fact, that plenty of others were inspired to explore this “deck-building” genre that had been created. Thunderstone may have been the most prominent response to Dominion’s popularity before this year, but Origins and GenCon showed that there’s plenty more on the way. While I’ve heard a few good things about Ascension, it simply does not look (or sound) like a game I would enjoy. Heroes of Graxia, on the other hand, piqued my curiosity…

Kobold Quarterly Magazine

Many magazines have tried in the past to make an impact in the gaming market for many many years. Most of them have perished either for lack of readership (though I doubt that very much) or lack of revenue (getting hotter!) or simply because the owner wanted to make sure they had complete control over the contents and wanted to go fully digital (no prizes for guessing here!).

That has left the market for those of us who like to read on paper as well as on screen very starved!
