Caelestis Designs is proud to announce the launch of the Edara: A Steampunk Renaissance Kickstarter Project.
Indianapolis, IN – April 1st 2013. Caelestis Designs is bringing its creative project Edara: A Steampunk Renaissance, a table-top role-playing game, to Kickstarter in an attempt to raise crowd-sourced funding for this independent project. The Edara: A Steampunk Renaissance Core Rulebook will contain everything players need to play the game and is scheduled to be released in May 2014.
Edara: A Steampunk Renaissance is the perfect fit for tabletop gamers of this generation. The world it represents is a combination of old-fashioned Tolkien-inspired fantasy and the current cultural phenomenon that is “steampunk.” Steampunk has become so popular that “IBM’s Social Sentiment Index has predicted that ‘steampunk’ will become a major trend that will make a huge impact on the retail industry in the coming years” (Forbes.com, 1/13).
By melding cherished fantasy themes such as elves, magic, and epic conflicts with the anachronistic technologies present in the Steampunk movement, we are able to consider the effect that this Steampunk movement would have on these much-loved fantasy staples.
Key features include:
- A single Core Rulebook which contains all the rules needed to create a character, play the game, and run campaigns in the world of Edara.
- A flexible and imaginative character creation system that offers 60 different “class” combinations with dozens of play styles.
- An innovative D12 system designed from the ground up specifically for Edara that puts the focus on roleplaying and smart character decisions.
- A serialized campaign made up of individually published modules (divided into “Seasons” and “Episodes”) that connect Edara players across the world in the same ongoing story.
