Without a doubt, passion is something most game designers have buckets loads of and Timo Multamäki is no exception.
The creator of Phantom League was only so quick and eager to show me his game and it was very impressive indeed!
For almost 25 years I’ve been playing Star Fleet Battles and its derivatives, and while I’m still no expert, I know as much about them as anyone who has played them for any length of time. Ironically, it’s not that I’m that enamored with Star Trek or the Star Trek universe, but more that I’m fascinated by the level of detail that Amarillo Design Bureau (ADB) has put into the game, as well as the idea of big, cool-looking spaceships chewing through one another with energy weapons.
Victoriana has become a darling of mine of recent. From believing it was a system that was hard to be taken seriously, I’ve gone to actually love it and regard it as close in richness (if not richer) than Call of Cthulhu. Yep, feel free to disagree. I won’t change my mind. Get over it.
I normally don’t add the publishers pitch to my reviews because usually they are overblown statements that end up disappointing. However this pitch is pretty accurate, apart from one subject. I will go into it in a bit.

Triune is a new Role-Playing game by Happy Bishop Games. This game can be termed futuristic, realistic fantasy. In this game religion has been outlawed, gates have been opened to two new universes that mankind has named ‘Heaven’ and ‘Hell’. It is the player characters responsibility to enforce the newly established rules and regulations concerning these two universes and our own interaction with them.
Non-Trivial Quest is a game designed by Douglas Arduini, a now retired Electric Engineer from the USA with a vision to create an educational game since 1987. After retirement, he has been able to dedicate the time, energy and resources needed to finish the game that he came up with.
