I believe one of the problems of the RPG hobby in general is that we don’t talk about it to people who don’t know about it often enough.

Steve Jackson is one of the most famous names in gaming. Two extremely influential game designers and entrepreneurs share the name though they live on opposite sides of the Atlantic.
Therefore having someone at the UK Games Expo who could give us a glimpse into what it is like to run the company that brought us Munchkin, GURPS and many others was a real treat.

And then the UK Games Expo arrived. WOW!
For starters the venue this year was changed. We were located at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, which is pretty much adjacent to Birmingham NEC and the Airport. Easy to get to by train and plane. The hotel is pretty huge and it was able to accommodate the more than 7000 people the Expo saw last year. And the extra 3000 that have attended this year. It was pretty amazing!
With an iPhone app so you can play on the move with a rather clever AI, it offers a great deal of strategy and it is rather fun, and Pocket Hive means you can take it in your pocket (literally!) any time if you don’t have an iPhone.
