The G*M*S Magazine RPG Podcast Episode 52 – Charon’s Claw with R.A. Salvatore

Roleplaying and board games reviews, podcasts, videos and interviews

charons_claw_coverGrowing up with a hero is an important thing. To have a fantastic role model to inspire and, to some degree, guide our decisions as we grow up has clear benefits and can provide with many hours of joy and learning.

Drizzt Do’Urden has been that for many, many people. His adventures and legends have spun for 25 years and dozens of novels, thanks to the brilliant mind, and not less brilliant talent, of R.A. Salvatore, one of the most recognised names in the D&D literature and also one of the most prolific.

His latest release, Charon’s Claw, places Drizzt and Dhalia in perils like they didn’t know existed. Joined by Artemis Entreri, they will embark on an extremely dangerous journey to destroy the sentient sword Charon’s Claw. But they might find out that the greatest dangers don’t always come from your enemies.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Mr. Salvatore on this novel and asked him about what new perils and what new challenges, both emotional and physical is Drizzt going to encounter. To say that the responses caught me by surprise is a bit of an understatement!

Could tell you a lot about it, but I’ll say that the way you see Drizzt is going to change when you listen to the interview. If you want to find out more about the book when you listen to the interview, there is a lot of information in the Wizards of the Coast website.

And as for the future of Drizzt… Well, maybe there is a teaser or two there!

logo_gcms_2012But of course GenCon is about to start. Although I said I was going to go, financial reasons (as in I don’t have money!) have stopped me from going this year. Which means that talking to Jenn and Rob will have to do for now.

What to look forward to? How to play your convention time? The hottest hotness you’ll find on the floor… Oh yes we talk about it!

Hope you enjoy the show!
