The latest Magic the Gathering event to take place is the Legacy Grand Prix which took place in Washington DC on November 16th and 17th. This latest Grand Prix explored Magic the Gathering’s most diverse format. Taking place in Washington DC, this two day event offered players the chance to pitch their skills against their opponents and test their MTG playing ability.

The Legacy Grand Prix taking place in Washington DC was one not to be missed. If you are a Magic The Gathering fan then you would enjoy this event. Players got the chance to meet fellow game enthusiasts, take part in tournaments and experience a whole two days of MTG fun. The Legacy Grand Prix has a diverse format and one that many Magic the Gathering players enjoy.
Along with Legacy tournaments, there were also be a few side events taking place at the Grand Prix for those less experienced in the game. But for those taking part in the Legacy tournaments, there were generous prizes to be won including a $3,500 award for first place. Any payers who made it to 64th place or above received a certain amount of prize money along with pro points too.
As always with Magic The Gathering Grand Prix’s, there were a number of rules for players to follow. There were a certain number of banned cards which players couldn’t use during game play. Each round lasted 50 minutes. Decks used on day 1 also had to be used on day 2.
